About Classes

These FAQs are designed to help you stay focused and motivated throughout your learning journey. As a one-woman business, I’m dedicated to offering personalized attention and flexibility to support your progress and ultimate success. Together, we’ll work towards achieving your English learning goals!
How do I get started with online classes?
To begin, you’ll need to complete an introductory needs analysis and level test. This helps us tailor your lessons to your current level and goals.
What technology do I need for online classes?
You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and a headset or microphone. We recommend using Zoom for our classes, but other platforms may be used depending on your preference.
What if I miss a class?
If you need to miss a class, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. This way, I can offer you the option to reschedule or provide a refund for the lesson. Unfortunately, if you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, I won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule. I understand that life can be unpredictable, so I truly appreciate you notifying me as soon as possible.
How do I pay for my classes?
All classes must be paid for in advance. Once your payment is received, your lesson will be confirmed and reserved. Payment details will be shared when you book your lesson, and I offer secure payment methods for your convenience.
Can I choose my preferred class time?
Yes, absolutely! Since I only offer one-to-one classes, I can accommodate your preferred time as much as possible. Just let me know your availability, and I’ll do my best to schedule your lessons at a time that works for you.
How are the classes structured?
Each class is tailored specifically to your needs and goals. Whether you’re working on speaking, grammar, listening, preparing for an exam presentation or interview, the lesson will focus entirely on helping you improve in the areas that matter most to you. I believe in a communicative approach to make learning enjoyable and effective.
What level of English do I need to start?
I welcome students at all levels! During our first session, I’ll assess your current level and ensure the lessons are appropriate for your skills and learning goals.
How will I know if I'm progressing?
After each class, I provide feedback and detailed notes so you can track your progress. I also conduct regular check-ins to make sure we’re on track and adjust the lessons as needed to keep you moving forward.
Is there a trial class available?
Yes, I offer a 30 minute trial class so you can experience the teaching style, class format, and overall approach. This is a great opportunity to see if my one-on-one lessons are the right fit for you before committing to any further lessons.
Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule a class, but please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. If I don’t receive 24 hours' notice, I won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule. I truly appreciate your understanding, as last-minute cancellations affect the schedule for both of us.
Are you qualified to teach English?
Yes, I am fully qualified with both a CELTA and Trinity DipTESOL certification and extensive experience in teaching English. I’m also a trained spoken English examiner, so you’ll be receiving expert guidance tailored to your goals, whether it's fluency building, exam preparation, or general language development.
How do I get in touch if I have questions or need support?
You can always reach me by email or through my contact form on the website. I’m happy to answer any questions and provide support whenever you need it.
What happens if I have technical issues during a class?
If you encounter any technical problems during our class, just let me know right away. I’ll do my best to help resolve the issue quickly, and if needed, we can reschedule the class. I want to make sure you get the most out of your learning experience.
What happens if I need to take a break from classes?
Life can sometimes get in the way of learning, and if you need to take a short break, just let me know. We can pause your lessons and resume once you're ready to continue. Please note that there is a 6-month limit on scheduling paid-for lessons. After this period, any unused lessons will expire. However, I’m here to support you, and we can always discuss the best way to get back on track when you're ready to continue. Your success is my priority!
